What is Epicondylitis and why does it occur?Epicondylitis is pain felt around the bony prominence (epicondyles) on either the outside or inside of the elbow joint. Tennis elbow is also called lateral Epicondylitis (outer elbow) and Golfer's Elbow is Medial Epicondylitis (inner elbow) . These bony prominences are where the tendons of the strong muscles of the forearm attach to their bony anchors. A tendon is a strong, flexible tissue that attaches muscles to bones. Overuse or repetitive actions of the muscles can lead to inflammation of the tendons and their attachment points and cause the symptoms of Tennis elbow and Golfer's elbow. Why is Epicondylitis so difficult to heal? The reason that tendons and their anchor points are so slow to heal is that they have very poor blood supplies compared to other areas of the body such as muscle or skin, both of which require lots of oxygen in order to do their job. Unfortunately, tendons don't require a lot of blood to carry out their function, so consequently they have a much reduced blood supply, which means they normally take a very long time to heal. |
|
How can I heal Epicondylitis? The normal medical advice for healing a damaged tendons or
overuse injuries such as epicondylitis is
'complete rest', as this allows the inflammation to subside and
new cells to gradually replace the damaged ones. However, due to
the poor blood supply that tendons have, it can take a very long
period of inactivity to completely heal the tendon and its
attachment point. |

How does the MAD-1 heal Epicondylitis so quickly?Firstly, the MAD-1 produces a very specific type of PEMF
(Pulsed Electromagnetic Field). PEMF therapy has been proved
beyond doubt, in numerous studies, including a recent 4 year
study carried out by NASA, to substantial reduce the
regeneration time of soft tissues such as tendons. We personally
put more than five years of research into testing and refining
the wave shape, frequency and power output of the MAD-1 units to
make them the most effective PEMF therapy units available at any
price. The MAD-1 uses the latest and most energy efficient
microelectronics that allows it to be small enough so that it
can be worn during almost any activity, yet still be powerful
enough to reach even the deepest tendons. This makes the MAD-1
not only convenient to use, but able to provide
sustained treatments over a long period of time, which
provide the most effective and rapid healing times for tissue
injuries. |
By uniquely combining PEMF therapy and acupuncture point treatment, the MAD-1 produces the most effective form of treatment currently available for Tennis elbow and golfers elbow, dramatically reducing healing time and the symptoms of pain and discomfort. |
Using the MAD-1 to treat tennis elbow and golfer's elbow
Treating Tennis elbow or golfers elbow with these
devices is both rapid and easy, with most people experiencing a
significant reduction in symptoms within the first week of
treatment. |

How many MAD-1s will I need to effectively treat myself? We recommend TWO devices for treating any form of epicondylitis. Two devices allows you to treat both the damaged area and at least one acupuncture points at the same time. Although, you can treat epicondylitis with just one device, it normally increases the healing time considerably compared to a treatment with two devices. If the symptoms you are experiencing are severe, or in more than one limb then you will need an absolute minimum of TWO devices, but FOUR DEVICES will normally provide a much quicker and more comprehensive treatment. Please note: Each pack of devices comes with one strap. However, you may wish to BUY AN EXTRA STRAP when you make your initial purchase, if you are treating the wrist or lower forearm, as this allows you to wear more than one device on the forearm without using the hypoallergenic pads. |

Some customer Emails
"Treatment is going really well,
only wish I had found them sooner, thanks for the advice." "Can't believe how quickly
they have worked. Last time I did my elbow in it took months to come
right, many thanks." "You must get fed up with
hearing how well your units work. Thanks for answering my questions
and good luck with the NHS bods, tell them to pull their fingers out
we need this in under 5 years!!" "Thank you for answering my
questions. I injured my elbow about five years ago and tried
ultrasound on it but eventually resorted to steroid injections, I
thinks the pain killing creams did more than the ultrasound! I can't
believe that I bought another gadget after last time but I have to
say that this time I have been really pleased with the results. Much
easier to use and though I have only had it for five days theres
already an improvement." "Thanks for the quick
response to my email. The unit is working really well, my wife is
going to try it for her migraines." |

Tendinopathy of the elbow is a common injury that affects the tendons of the elbow, it is usually caused due to over-use of tendons surrounding the elbow during sports and work-related activities that involve excessive use of forearm muscles and the wrist. The two commonly known types of elbow Tendinopathy are Tennis Elbow that refers to inflammation of the tendons that attach to the outside or lateral part of the elbow, while golfer's elbow refers to inflammation of the tendons that attach to the inner or medial part of the elbow. In both cases, failing to get proper Golfers Elbow Treatment and Treatment of Tennis Elbow can lead to chronic pain that is very debilitating
Until the development of the MAD-1 unit there were no really effective forms of Golfer Elbow treatment or Tennis elbow Treatment
Stretches, progressive strengthening exercises and other exercise measures are sometimes used in Tennis Elbow Treatment. However, these forms of exercise, which can be prescribed to the patient under Treatment of Tennis Elbow, frequently exacerbate the problem instead of reducing the pain and improving its function.
